Regular Season Round 23: FMP BG - Krka 98-89

There was no surprise in Beograd where 14th ranked SlovenianKrka (4-19) was defeated by tenth ranked Serbian FMP BG (12-11) 98-89 on Sunday. FMP BG made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. FMP BG outrebounded Krka 39-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for FMP BG especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was swingman Filip Barna (201-1999) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Vojislav Stojanovic (199-1997) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. FMP BG's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Tayler Persons (191-1995, college: Ball St., agency: Players Group) produced 22 points and 8 assists and Miha Cerkvenik (201-2001) added 21 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FMP BG moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Spartak. Krka lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Cibona.
